Data protection and other information about the service

The National Audit Office of Finland processes the personal data that you have disclosed with due care, in accordance with the law and ensuring the protection of privacy.

Avoimuusrekisteri.fi is a web service of the National Audit Office of Finland (NAOF). The NAOF's Transparency Register team is responsible for the maintenance and technical development of the service.

The service is targeted at lobbyists and lobbying consultants, decision-makers, researchers, the media and citizens. The main purpose of the service is to provide a platform for submitting lobbying-related disclosures and for publishing the information provided in the disclosures.

Information in the web service is published in Finnish, Swedish and English. The information in Swedish and English may be more limited than the information available in Finnish.

Privacy statements

The privacy statement describes the data contained in the Transparency Register maintained by the National Audit Office as well as the intended use, regular disclosures, and protection principles concerning the data. The privacy statements also contain information about the rights of the data subjects as well as the controller’s contact details.

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, a separate communication concerning the collection and storage of their personal data in the Finnish Transparency Register will be sent to the lobbying targets. This communication includes information on the personal data to be collected, the ways in which they are used, the purposes of their use, and the data subjects’ rights.

Information security

Avoimuusrekisteri.fi is always accessed through a secure connection (https). Please report any vulnerabilities or deficiencies on the website to the NAOF registry at kirjaamo@vtv.fi using the secure messaging service. Using the secure messaging service requires registration. Follow the instructions available on the website.

Cookie policies

Avoimuusrekisteri.fi uses cookies. Cookies are small data files that are transferred to your computer when you access a website. Cookies are stored in the files used by your browser. Some of the cookies are used for the duration of your browser session, others for longer periods.

The analytical cookies used on avoimuusrekisteri.fi are connected to the Piwik PRO, Cookie Information and Siteimprove service. Piwik PRO collects anonymised information about site navigation, which can be used to develop the website. The copyrights on the materials in the web service belong to the National Audit Office, unless otherwise specifically stated. You may freely use the textual materials available on the site and publish links to the site, provided that you cite the source.

The copyrights on the photographs, visualizations, and other visual materials belong to the photographers, the originators, or the National Audit Office. The photos on the avoimuusrekisteri.fi website may not be used by anyone outside the NAOF, unless this has been specifically agreed with the NAOF's website editorial staff.

The use of the staff’s contact details for commercial purposes, such as any form of direct marketing, is prohibited.

Responsibility

The website editorial staff is responsible for the contents of the web service and aims to keep them as up to date as possible. The National Audit Office aims to correct any errors detected without delay. Notwithstanding the above, the editorial staff is not liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from the use of information published in the service.

The National Audit Office is not in any way liable for the contents or functioning of other websites accessible through this service. By accessing a website through this service, the user agrees that the website they access is not under the NAOF's control and that the NAOF cannot influence the contents published on such website.
